Wanting to find ways to share the path to better wellbeing with fellow 国产午夜福鈥檚 College students, Will Crawford has joined the 鈥楤alanced Blokes鈥 seminar for Year 12 students.

Hosted by Lincoln University future leader scholars 鈥 including Old Boy Levi Astle 鈥 the seminar supports student leaders who want to help steer others towards positive mental health amid the multiple challenges of their teenage years.
鈥淭he idea of increasing mental health in our College community is appealing to me and it has been a great opportunity to learn more about the 鈥楩ive Ways to Wellbeing鈥 through a mental health seminar run by Old Boy Levi Astle, and how best to implement these ways in our everyday life,鈥 Will explains.
鈥淚 learnt so much on the day, and it was also great to be able to talk things over with fellow Year 12 students from our city. We all bring different ideas and perspectives to the discussion table so you learn 鈥 and benefit 鈥 from each other.鈥
A member of Julius House, Will says the seminar has underlined the importance of the 鈥渇ive ways to enable better mental health鈥.
鈥淲e need to connect and keep talking and listening to others,鈥 he says. 鈥淲e must also keep learning and make the most of any new experience and opportunity. Equally importantly, we all must 鈥榞ive鈥. That is a core part of our time at College, helping others and doing that much more to make a difference.
鈥淧articularly important for teenagers, we need to be active and enjoy our sports and activities. Finally, we all should take notice of the everyday things that make us happy.鈥
For Will, even the first steps along the way have brought rewards.
鈥淭his seminar has inspired me to start doing small things to improve these areas of my life, including ice baths and doing breathing exercises to improve my mental wellbeing. With each positive action in your life you soon begin to feel the benefits.鈥
